Arsenic Water Filters, Arsenic Removal
Arsenic (As) is a semi-metal element of periodic table that can be found in drinking water. Arsenic is not easily dissolved in water, therefore, if it is found in a water supply, it usually comes from mining or metallurgical operations or from runoff from agricultural areas where materials containing arsenic were used. Arsenic in water has no color, taste or odor, and can be only detected via arsenic-specific water tests. When digested with water in dangerous concentration, several conditions, including poisoning and cancer, may occur. EPA, Environmental Protection Agency has set the arsenic standard for drinking water at 0.10 parts per million , 0.01 mg/l or 10 parts per billion to protect consumers from the effects of short-term, and long-term chronic exposure to arsenic. In order to detect levels of arsenic in drinking water, we provide 2 on-the-spot water test kits: Arsenic Quick Test Mini Kit, and a 100-test kit Arsenic Quick Test Kit.
Arsenic Water FiltersA common way to remove arsenic from water is a specialized, arsenic selective resin - a strongly basic hybrid Anion Exchange Resin. This is a proprietary resin that has been certified to NSF/ANSI standard 61, and is the best arsenic removal media on the market. It works in wide range of water conditions and removes both Arsenic III and V. All water filtration systems below use this resin and are capable of reducing arsenic below EPA level at proper water flows. A Commercial Arsenic Water Filter is also available.
