Countertop Water Cooler filtration type:
Water travels through a single, 5-stage water filter to remove most contaminants and produce crystal clear, fresh and tasty water - no bottles to buy! The following contaminants are removed:
Stage 1 - 1 micron filter pads to remove suspended particles, silt, sediment, cysts, cryptosporidium and giardia
Stage 2 - granulated activated carbon (GAC) cartridge, an effective absorbent for a wide variety of organic contaminants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chemicals linked to cancer (THMs, benzene), pesticides, herbicides, PCBs. Activated carbon cartridge reduces chlorine and MTBEs, removes bad taste and odor.
Stage 3 and 4 - KDF, a blend of copper and zinc - an advanced water filtration technology that works on electro-chemical and oxidation levels. Removes chlorine
Stage 5 - another 1 micron filter pad to further reduce undesireable particles, and eliminate some.
