Turbidity Removal Water Filter Systems are designed to address water cloudiness and suspended solids, along with other sediment. Turbidity (haze or water cloudiness) is caused by presence of suspended solids that interfere with water clarity. They can include clay, silt, finely divided organic or inorganic matter, soluble colored organic compounds, and biological microorganisms. Turbidity particles can be as small as 2 micron in size.
Typical sources of turbidity include soil erosion, waste discharge, runoff from watersheds, decaying plants, algae or aquatic weeds and products of their breakdown in water reservoirs, rivers or lakes. High iron concentration , which gives water a rusty tint, can be also a supplier of turbidity.
Typically, turbidity has no health effect but can interfere with disinfection, prevent UV (ultraviolet) Systems from working properly , and can be a medium for growth of microbes.
Commercial Turbidity Water Filters features:
Available water flow is between 22 GPM and 280 GPM (gallons per minute).
5 year Warranty on all Fleck control valves.
10 year Warranty on media tank.
All units can be assembled with or without automatic backwash valve. Contact us for price information on manually backwashed units.
These units are heavy! Actual shipping charges will be added to your order after unit is assembled. A very rough estimate (we express no guarantees if this price is accurate on the date of order!) of shipping charges would be between $180 and $500 (continental US), and can vary greatly based on model, your zip code, location, availability of lift gate, fork lift, and gas prices. LTL Freight shipping out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Table below will help you to identify system for your application. Look for water line size (Pipe Size) and Service Flow in gallons per minute (GPM), and choose an appropriate model.
We can also install manual valve instead of electronic, or a valve that will backwash based on the amount of gallons flown (additional $350 for smaller tanks, please inquire for 2"+ line tanks).
